DU TOIT is a quality, top-class grower, distributor and marketer of fresh fruit and vegetables in South Africa, as well as worldwide. They are the 2nd largest South African supplier, in the international market place. The DU TOIT Fruit & Vegetable Group deals directly with wholesalers and retailers. They prefer not to market directly to the end-consumer, as many of these retailers, for example Woolworths, sell the produce under their own labels. With the repositioning of the brand and the design of their logo, an upmarket, sophisticated typeface was used in the colours of the brand. The simplicity and clean look of the logo reflects the personality of the company. No fuss, no complications, simply top quality produce delivered fresh and efficiently.

* Mandy's Magic

Mandy's magic sauces, honeys and relishes are an up-market range of gourmet delights, sold at specialist deli's, farm stalls and selected Spar shops in the Western and Eastern Cape. The range consists of Chilli Chocolate sauce, a Chocolate Toffee sauce, Ginger & Chilli Ice-cream Sauce, Caramel Sauce, Lavender Honey, Chilli Oil, Dukah and Relish with Ginger. The logo was inspired by Mandy herself, as the Chilli Chocolate sauce was the first sauce she made and her infectious saying "It's magic" has rubbed off on her customers and lovers of her home-made sauces. Hence the name Mandy's Magic.
 

* Sizisa Ukhanyo

This is a company whose main aim is to promote peace and development in the country. They do this by upholding basic human rights and offering security to anyone who requires assistance in a difficult situation where specialized negotiations are required. They are facilitators and mediators for all parties that are locked in any social struggle issues. Their slogan "lighting the way for change" says what they stand for. The logo was developed, using the graphic image of a person, standing in the middle, seen from the top, with shadows cast in all directions. It also symbolizes people coming together around a central point. The centre graphic also has nuances of being like a light and the light yellow and light blue reflect the colours of something emitting light.

 

* Headsets SA

They are the leading supplier of headsets for call centres and PABX exchanges in the country. They specialize in a range of superior headsets, to meet any need, from small companies to really large organizations. Blue is their corporate colour and the simple round shape symbolizes a head, wearing a headset, in a graphic interpretation. The typography is friendly and fun, as the people who usually wear these headsets have jobs where they have to be friendly and customer-orientated all day.

 

* The Reeds

The Reeds at Balgowan is an eco-sensitive residential development in Kwazulu-Natal just south of Mooi River in the Nottingham Road area. Design-wise it is based on the concept of Enviro-living, Ubuntu -style. Homes built in harmony with nature, which is a wetland and lake. The Reeds house designs, living spaces, decks and terraces overlooking the protected wetlands and lake, are designed and built to be an integral part of the natural surroundings. There are only 9 properties on the estate, so it is very exclusive. The logo depicts an endangered Blue Crane in its natural reed setting. The colours are all in natural tones and the typeface was selected to depict the classy, upmarket feel of the place.

 

* World of Windows

World of Windows (WOW) is a contracting company that designs, manufactures, supplies and installs a wide range of fenestration products to contractors who build commercial buildings. Landmark jobs have been the CTICC and most shops in Canal Walk. The company prides itself on its technical expertise and good project management. The logo is made up of triangles, which are the strongest shapes in nature. The colours are blue and silver, to reflect the glass and aluminium they work with. The typeface was chosen because it has such a strong feel. When it comes to glass and aluminium products, customers expect strong, well-built, well- designed products. The round shape of the logo mirrors the O in WOW. Foil will be used on many of the company's stationery, which once again ties in with the reflection found in glass and aluminium. Plus it also shows quality, which once again mirrors what the company believes in.

 

* Tru-Cape

TRU-CAPE is the largest fresh apple and pear marketer and distributor in South Africa. The logo was developed using both the red and green fruit, to symbolise red and green apples and green pears. The white was added for freshness and together the 3 bright colours convey the fresh, fruity image of these Perfectly Natural Wonders. The wave effect symbolises the valleys where these top quality apples and pears are grown in the Cape. The words "South Africa" are included in the logo, as Tru-Cape fruit is exported all over the world and South Africa is known for its high quality natural produce, which is exported and sold around the globe.

 

* Chairman's Suite

The Chairman's Suite is a luxury suite-to-let in Mutual Heights, one of the city's foremost art deco masterpieces. The logo had to communicate the up-market nature of the business, the fact that it was a conversion from an office block and that it was an art deco property.
